I have arrived!
Jun. 18th, 2006 12:41 amWell, I finally caved and signed up for an LJ. I didn't care about peer pressure back in high school, but somehow 15 years later ... *shakes head sadly*
The main purpose of this blog is to keep track of other people's LJ activities. I may post about myself on occasion, but nobody should be holding their breaths. ;)
edit: Now that I've tinkered my color schemes into quite an interesting mishmash, perhaps I'd better stop before it gets worse...

Secondly, most medical disorders aren't touchy subjects ;), and gender dysphoria needn't be either. And finally, transition is not a lifestyle choice; it's the recommended medical treatment for gender dysphoria.
My impression is that your perspective is more like "I've got nothing against transpeople (or gays, or whatnot (which by the way are also not lifestyle choices but that's a different argument)). Why I'd even share an elevator with one."
There's nothing wrong with that as a starting point per se. Most people start there when they don't really understand yet. What matters is whether you move forward from there.
