1. I've taken up yoga. A chiropractor insisted. So far it's turning out to be a good logical progression from the stretching exercises I was doing all last year. It makes me really work out and leaves me sore (but surprisingly less sore than I was expecting), and I'm enjoying the weekly classes.
2. I'm preparing logistics for attending my sister's wedding in Hawaii in May. My mother is notoriously terrible about planning anything until after the last minute has passed, and my brother has other problems to worry about. Therefore, my sister delegated to me to figure out all the air travel, lodging, ground transport, tourism, etc. for all three of us.
3. I'm arranging for a friend to make me an outfit to wear to said wedding, that will both satisfy my sister and be something I'd actually want to be caught dead wearing. The most fun part thus far, aside from arguing with my sister, has been getting myself measured for it. It turns out that not having any offline friends has its downsides.
4. I've taken over paying the family cell phone bill. My mother is also notoriously terrible at money management. We've already had our service disconnected once several months ago - and frankly I need my phone to be working.
5. I learned how to make clam chowder. I'm thinking to try out someone's kreplach soup recipe next.
6. I bought a gigantic bag of dirt. My chives need repotting, and one of my onions sprouted, so I thought I'd plant it to see what happens. Now it just needs to warm up enough outside for me to do it.
7. I got sucked into a blog community. We're a silly bunch, about 8 or 9 of us who all read and comment on each other's blogs, calling ourselves the Union of Collaborating Founders. Keeping up with their antics is surprisingly time-consuming.
8. At work: I'm supposed to make a series of pretty graphs for a conference poster due in about a month. Before I can make the graphs, I have to assemble the data. Before I can do that, I have to analyze the raw, do some stats tests, and bang them into the right formats. This is going to take a while...
9. I've been working on writing some stories based off of the long-dormant RPoL game What is it to be Human?.
10. I really need to catch up on my RPoL games.
