Other End of 3-Day Novel
7804 words this weekend.
Not bad, not as many as I should have managed considering that I had nothing else going on at all ... but not bad. My main downfall this year was basically just a lack of advanced planning.
But I got a good bit of progress in on Vengeance - the vampire story I've been writing very slowly since 2007. On Day 2 I got another good bit of progress in on Tragedy of the Hand - which is a story set a few centuries earlier in the same overall setting, and has the same vampire from Vengeance in it though not as the main character. On Day 3, I was stalled out on everything, so I didn't end up writing much at all. Dangit.
All in all, fairly productive weekend. I need to plan fiction weekends more regularly from now on. With all the freelancing I've got going on, fiction keeps ending up at the back of the line, and I need to do something about that.
